Very hard to maintain

2 annoying flaws. 1 a dealbreaker

Love it in theory but two annoying flaws with this machine. 1. When used to humidify the room, it simultaneously cools the room about 3-5 degrees. Since I'm using this in the winter like most people, this means you have to crank the heat even more to offset the humidifier, which ironically adds more humidity to the air. 2. The auto humidify setting has no adjustment. I called support about both of these issues to confirm I wasn't wrong. I still can't find a good humifying solution. It's too bad this was close

When you are using the humidifier to add humidity to your room air you may notice the temperature drop slightly; the water is going to be cool or room temperature. Stopped humidifying air after 1 week

Worked perfectly for a week, now it won’t humidify my room over 40% and drops down to lower 30’s throughout the night.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

DO NOT buy. Don’t waste your money.

I bought this for my baby hoping she could get good quality humidified air but I don’t want to use it at all. It smells even after cleaning. Also, the water in the water tank has residues floating in it. I ran the cleaning cycles several times and had already had them sent a new water tank to me but they still didn’t solve the problem. This is a really disappointing product by Dyson. I regret buying it.

whining noise after only 2 hours since unpacking

I received the PH04, unpacked it, downloaded manual and app, read the manual, filled in half the water and turned it on. It was nice first, but after only 2 hours the PH04 started making annoying whining noises.
Extremely disappointing!!

This is the best technology on the market. My little babies have allergies and asthma and were always congested, this has definitely helped them tremendously. I keep it on all the time. The APP is so helpful when you are feeding baby and can’t get up. Everything is at your fingertips. I recommend it to everyone.

Hi Danny, this is Kelly with Dyson. From what you’ve shared, it sounds to me that the machine has a low-grade whistling/whining noise, which is more apparent at the lower fan speed level.
This can be caused by several factors; the filter(s) becoming blocked and/or unseated, the outer shell becoming misaligned and/or the loop amplifier being damaged, unseated or blocked. Other factors could also contribute to this, such as if the machine has ever been dropped or carried by the loop amplifier. We would be happy to help troubleshoot the issue with you. high pitched noise

I want to leave more stars as I generally really love all my Dyson products, but this machine is just not up to their standards. Since the first day I got it its had a high pitched noise coming from the fan box (see video). Its worse at the low settings, which is annoying since that is the setting you most want to use at night. I finally contacted the help desk at Dyson, and the best they had to offer was for me to drive literally an hour away to drop the machine off at a service center. If you spend this much money on a machine, you'd imagine that they would care more that they sent you a defective product.

We weren't able to see a video you referenced attached to the review, but we wouldn't expect there to be any other noise coming from your machine, that's not caused by the airflow.
