We purchased this Purifier Humidify& Cool Formaldehyde over 2 years ago.My husband & I suffer with allergies & dry hot air in California . This Dyson helps us out so much. We can breathe & sleep better. I wish there was discounts on purchasing a 2nd one. Excellent purchase. I did not receive any free products for this review.

God sent device for my new born

I’m amazed how good this humidifier + purifier works. I have a newborn and I live in a very dry climate in west Texas. My baby used to suffer for the nasal congestion caused by the dry weather. After I started using this Dyson humidifier, my baby has no more nasal congestion and sleeping well. Thanks to the Dyson. I strongly recommend to anyone, especially who live in dry weather conditions.

Horrible whistling noise on "low" mode

I bought this purifier because of the wildfire smoke in NYC. As I used to have another purifier (PH03A), I immediately noticed that this one was really noisy, especially when I put it on low mode. It makes a weird whistling noise. So I checked online and noticed that it was a very common issue with this model. After a week, I decided to send it back, get a refund and purchased the PH03A.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent design one expects from Dyson

The machine is designed well and well built. Great looks though slightly bulkier than most in this category. Performing perfectly. You’d expect nothing less from Dyson. The only complaint is on about the sticker shock. Expensive by any standard. Four stars only for that reason; otherwise it deserves five.

Musky moldy smell

Have been using it for 8 months now and have started noticing musky moldy smell from past 2 months.
Initially we just thought its the room
When we tested the machine closely , we found the catalatic filter is whats giving the air the musky smell.
Dyson team plz help, the blue permanent catalytic filter is faulty and the root cause for all musky smell most of the reviewes are complaining
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purifier--> I can feel air is more cleaner
Humidify--> I don't really feel humidify is work well. When I adjust humidify to 70% for hours, but still only around 50%
Cool--> The fan noise kind of loud when turned on over speed 5, but I still like the design, because is not like traditional fan make your eyes uncomfortable

Garbage! avoid purchasing save your money

Looks nice doesn’t perform very well. You’ll smell smoke, cooking etc for a long time before it actually kicks in with fans at a high speed to deal with the odor and even then it’s just not that effective to the point where I find myself opening the window for far better results. The humidifier function is useless. I got this to keep room at a suitable humidity to protect wood floor in the winter. It flat out just doesn’t work and can’t get my space to a humidity anywhere near 40% …. Literally boiling water on the stove was more effective. For the price this thing is garbage if you’re looking to purchase I’d highly suggest avoiding this item. I wish I went with a less attractive model from another brand that perform far better than this overpriced piece of plastic. Also you need to clean the water filter very frequently to get rid of the slimy film like substance that builds up and can clog. The is no mention of this anywhere in the documentation

We're disheartened to learn that you've found the Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde™ PH04 to be so disappointing in your use. We would certainly expect this unit to purify and humidify your air, much more effectively then what you're reporting here. In terms of providing humidity to your home, the machine can reach 70% humidity, but getting to this target depends on environmental conditions like the size and ventilation of the room, and the relative humidity of the surrounding air. Even when the machine is working properly, it can naturally be harder to reach a target humidity if the air is relatively dry to begin with, if it’s an “open” environment where non-humidified air is flowing in, etc.
PH04 will effectively help to reduce or eliminate odors in the home. You may find that you need to have the unit running prior to cooking, etc., to notice a larger improvement. You can also monitor the current air quality in the home on the screen display or within the Dyson App. We'd love to know more about your experience, and to make sure your PH04 is performing as intended. Do not waste your money and time!

It’s sad because I love Dyson products but this all in one machine should be recalled. I’m now on my 4th machine. They work for awhile until they don’t. I even maintain mine and change the filters etc… The one that was sent to me a few weeks ago now won’t turn on. I’m extremely frustrated and will end up throwing the machine out. Very sad.
