The convenience of ordering a specific size filter on line, instead of sorting through various filters at the big-box home store, is well worth the few days it took to arrive.
The air filter seems like the material is pretty good quality and overall well made. The issue is fitment for me. In my case the previous filters fit perfectly snug and I was happy with them besides the expensive cost. So I shopped the internet for what appeared to be a quality filter at a reasonable price and came across these. I bought a 6 pack of them and somewhat regret that I did. These are slightly smaller dimensions from all sides which result in small air gaps so the filter doesnt seal well. I tried to cut pieces of cardboard to act as shims to center it the best I could but not sure how well that is working to actually seal it and something that really shouldnt have to be done. I have 2 new and from my knowledge very common furnaces and fitment is a problem for both of them. Whats the point of having a Merv 11 filter that has air gaps around it? After these ones are used Ill go back to the ones I used prior, more expensive but a tight proper fit and seal.
