Feels sturdy…but

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve bought the Kitchenaid mixer after seeing so many great reviews. I’ve grown into my cooking phase now and needed something to bring everything together.
The unit itself is heavy and feels robust. You would think it would be able to power through anything.
Unfortunately, my first meal was to make pasta for dinner. Putting all the ingredients together my stand mixer looked to be going well, until it mixed all the eggs and flour together where it physically stopped turning and made a horrible sound.
Since that day I’ve only made easier mixtures because the first 2 speed settings sound like broken gears and I was hoping to have this unit for a long time not a short time.
I love the mixer for cakes and other recipes but don’t recommend for any thicker dough (bread or pasta) even with the dough hook.
Buy this if you’re making cakes!

My first mixer was bought as a release for KitchenAid's 90th birthday and has made many cakes, biscuits, icing and desserts. So my new mixer will be here for many years to come, performing like a champion every time. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love to use it to prepare my dough.
It made preparing cake batter more fun and easier since don't need to worry about staying next to the mixer at all the time.
Cookies can be done with no effort.
My 1st to go kitchen helper that I can rely on.
Kids can use it easily, they were so exited to use it.

Quiet and efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago, have made various cakes and pavlovas, wow, amazed at how quiet this machine is, the variable speeds is great! The large capacity of the bowl makes everything easier and having the second bowl means I don’t have to stop and start during recipes. Highly recommended! Oh, and she looks fabulous on my bench.

The colour the functions everything…except for the fact that it’s impossible to mix a mall amount of anything as the whisk and the paddle do not get to the bottom of the bowl. I would love to be able to get an attachment that actually scrapes the entire bowl. The dough hook is probably my favourite it’s become so easy to make breads, pizza and cinnamon rolls.
