Kitchen Aid mixer - how did I live without out!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can’t believe it took me so long to get this. I’ll never going back to a hand beater. Apart from the ease the quality of the beating mixing - I haven’t explored all the options yet, is superior. Eg making a pavlova is so easy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my Onyx Black Stand Mixer just after Christmas. I had been looking at looking at mixers for a while and trying to decide whether to take the plunge and get one. I had been using an old fashioned egg beater and whisk to make cakes so I really did need something a bit more advanced! I am so happy with my decision and on New Year's Day I made my first cake with it. It was my famous chocolate cake which I had always beaten by hand. It was so simple to use and I made use of both of the bowls that came with the product - one to mix the base ingredients using the flex edge beater and the other to make the egg whites light and fluffy using the whisk attachment. It turned out so well. Since then I have ventured into making individual meringues using my ducks eggs. There is no way I could have whisked those whites to stiff peaks using my hand beater. I'm very pleased with my purchase and looking forward to trying the dough hook next. My mixer has opened up a whole new world of baking for me and that's just the beginning.
