Mixer Not Rotating

The mixer is not working: it is not spinning. The motor is running but the the mixer is not rotating. Very frustrating considering it was a new purchase.

One of my best investment in the kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like many, I spent a couple of years wondering if a KitchenAid Stand Mixer was a worthwhile purchase and fretting about its size in my kitchen. But with a household that regularly enjoys homemade bread, cakes, and stuffed buns (thanks to two hungry kids and their lunch bag needs!), I finally decided to go for it, even adding the meat grinder attachment to my order. Let me tell you, after just the second time using it, I was convinced: this is an absolute must-have! The 5-quart size is manageable, it adds an elegant touch to my countertop, and its performance is outstanding. It's so simple to use and clean, and the difference it makes in my baking is incredible – the dough comes out perfectly every single time. This KitchenAid has quickly become one of the smartest and most valuable investments I've made for my kitchen!

Beautiful mixer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always wanted a stand mixer but never needed one until I started making bread. I followed instructions to never mix dough above speed 2. It works great! I have also mixed sausage balls and it was so easy! No more mixing with my hands. Very pleased with my purchase!

Needs to do better for minor fixes

I have 6 of this mixer and a few of the others as well. I'm disappointed that minor things that become major when you can't fix it, you can't use it. For example, when the on switch won't turn off, it's a single screw to fix it BUT you have to basically destroy your mixer to get to it, the pin half way through the disassembly doesn't actually come out in all of the mixers even though it's supposed to. So you end up bashing your mixer for an hour and never fix the problem. Your mixers aren't cheap and your customers are loyal, you don't need to rob us and make products that last so much less than they used to. I used to get a decade out of a machine and now maybe two years and it isn't like I use it every day or anything. Please go back to the quality company you once were and stop making my life more difficult.

Anxious to receive my new mixer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently upgraded to the Artisan Kitchen Aid , however the only reason I give it 3 stars is that I found that the speeds were off . The lowest speed seemed much fast and the items win the bowl would fly out of the bowl even on low. Also found that the lock was not smooth and when it is locked the head of the mixer would still move up and down . I did call customer service spoke with a customer service person who was very helpful and apologetic for the issues I was having . She said they would replace my current mixer .
