[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After about two months of trying to purchase the mixer it finally arrived. It mixes the cake batter very well and quite easily. Fuschia color is nice.

Terrible Quality, really disappointing

We just replaced a 21-year old KitchenAid tilt mixer with this new Hibiscus model and the build quality of this new mixer is terrible. We used it for the first time today and this mixer is border-line unusable to make dough with.
The provided bowl with the handle does not properly lock into place on the clamping plate so while mixing dough the bowl comes loose and has now scratched the paint on on the base and neck of the mixer. Even at a low speed of 2 the bowl is completely knocked out of the clamping plate. The bowl from our old mixer locks into place properly and stays tight. The new bowl is complete unusable because it can't tighten correctly in the clamping plate.
Also, this new model does not have a spring and retention plate on the beater shaft so the attachments are not secured properly which causes the attachment to move up and down on the beater shaft and actually come unlocked.
The mixer also overheats way to quickly and easily when making dough. Just making one batch of dough leaves the mixer too hot to the touch when using the recommended speed of 2.
The speed and tilt lock knobs also feel really cheap compared to the old mixer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This beautiful stand mixer makes prepping food easy peasy! I have always wanted a standing mixer and I was not disappointed. It is incredibly easy to use with the interchangeable mixing tools. The beautiful pop of color is just what I needed in my kitchen to make me want to use it again and again. Bread dough, frostings, and even pizza dough for a fun night with the kids. I am so happy to have this mixer in my home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think some of the kitchen aid brand products fall a bit short of expectations, but not the stand mixers! I grew up with one of these and learned to bake using one. It’s THE mixer for baking enthusiasts. They work so well, and I’ve seen people who use there’s constantly do regular maintenance and keep theirs in perfect condition. Although my mom’s is 30-something years old and still works like a charm! So excited to have one. I just hope I can clear off more counter space!
As far as the color, I was expecting a gloss finish. It looks pretty, but I think the glossy finish on my mom’s makes it easier to clean than this one.

The last missing piece to my kitchen equipment!

I really needed a stand mixer and one to replace a old unit with accessories that I received as a wedding present 32 years ago. This Kitchen Aid is EXACTLY the starting point for me to assemble the missing bits so I can learn to bake. Excellent unit.
