For the most part a good mixer, but small bowl 1.5

Double check prices and product when buying on line. We thought we ordered a unit that had a lever to raise and lower bowl.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Still learning, and have some issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought for the family for Christmas, just received a few weeks ago. I am still learning but it seems to be that the paddle doesn't go all the way to the bottom. Today after pouring into cake pan there was about a tablespoon of remaining sugar. Also, you can't spin the batter off the paddle, there's a lot of waste. When cleaning my mixer, I found a small scrape in the paint on the back side of the motor head. I didn't look it over when I got it.

Heavy Duty Mixer

We knew KitchenAid was good quality, because our refrigerator and other major kitchen appliances are KitchenAid. I already had a stand mixer from a different maker which served my purposes well, but it wasn't as heavy duty as this new one, and my old one had an issue which made it awkward. My new KitchenAid mixer is a definite improvement over my old mixer! It is very heavy, which isn't a problem, but I don't keep it on my counter--so I have to move it from the walk-in pantry to the counter whenever I use it. Easy to use, and works well!
