It is such a great machine and very quiet. I am so happy with it, I wish I COULD HAVE BOUGHT TWO OF THEM SINCE i do a lot of baking and cooking from scratch My daughter-in-law is so jealous now she is saving her money for one

The Tilt head can't be locked when mixing dough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the tilt-head can't be locked. The head kept popping up when I mixed the dough for bread. It's a brand new machine. I was using the first time. I will return.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Exceptional longevity and worth every penny!!

The Artisan 5 qt. Tilt-head Stand Mixer with the Premium Accessory Pack is quality at its best! Whether whipping cream or mixing heavy dough, this workhorse makes easy work of the task at hand. I love the Mineral Blue color, as well. I couldńt be happier!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the third mixer that I have purchased. We owned a 5 quart mixer for 25-30 years and it was getting tired. We upped our purchase and bought a 6 quart mixer. We had it for about two years and didn’t like the effort it took to put the mixing bowl in its holder. It also did not have as much power as our first mixer and was a lot louder that the first one. We went back to the 5 quart mixer and so far it is working well. I do not like the accessories. They all are an aluminum composite and can’t be washed in the dishwasher. Everything should be done by hand. I should have kept our old ones, that lasted 25-30 years. We will keep using this new one and will make our decision later if we will ever buy Kitchenaid again.

Wish we had kept the old one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought a new 6 quart mixer last year and tried it for a year and wished that we hadn’t got rid of the old 5 quart. We have now purchased a new 5 quart and are much happier with it. I think the quality of the Kitchenaid has changed. The motors are noisier, and not as powerful as the older motors. Yes they do come with more accessories, but I could wash the old ones in the dishwasher.
