A retirement gift to myself

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this KitchenAide as a retirement gift to myself in November. It is so easy to use and clean. I'm making 2-3 bakes a week, cookies and breads. It works so well on cookie dough, especially shortbreads. I love having the smaller bowl, it allows me to easily flavor dough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this to replace my 25 year old Kitchen Aid Classic (250 watt)- which still runs well. Keeping the older one to give to my daughter when she moves into her apartment. The newer one is more powerful to accommodate my baking needs. I do love the 3 quart mini bowl- used it to mix my egg whites in & fold them into my 5 qt bowl ingredients. I'm looking forward to using the tools in the accessory pack.

A Gift to last a lifetime

My moms mixer has been in the family for over 40years, and I asked my mom if she would get me one as I am starting my own family now. I have fond memories of licking off the mixer tools after making brownies and stealing cookie dough from the bowl when my mom wasn't watching.
My husband grew up in households that never had a kitchenaid and it was something special to teach him how to use it. I think he uses it now more than me.

Instant Upgrade to My Baking Abilities

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know how I went so long without purchasing a KitchenAid stand mixer, but I'm glad I have one now. After spending so many years baking and kneading dough by hand, powering through those 5-10 minute kneed-fests, I decided to treat myself over the holidays with my first stand mixer and I'm so glad I did. This makes the process of baking, from whipping to kneading, so much less stressful. I'm also able to pay better attention to my mixes and doughs. This machine has really opened up a new level of cooking prowess and I couldn't be happier.
Oh, and it should be mentioned, but this stand mixer is easy to clean. That's a good thing, considering how beautiful it is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my first KitchenAid mixer back in 93. I passed it on to a young Mom who needed it. I bought the second one (2000) as I was catering. Used the dickens out of it kept going. Passed it along to a friend that had a house fire. Bought the hand mixer reliable but a pain to make bread with SO for Mothers Day I bought a new improved KitchenAid with a small & large bowl & cool attachments! It's a "joy" to have this work horse back in my kitchen. I reccomend this product highly!! Executive Chef Waneeta

Terrible mixer

I had a Professional Kitchenaid stand mixer for years and loved how sturdy it was for all my baking needs. Since I’m not baking as much and have less strength, I decided to sell the one I had and buy the smaller, tilt head Kitchaid mixer. What a disappointment. It’s not made nearly as well, the attachments come loose if using higher speeds, dry ingredients fly out all over the place even when using the pouring shield, and it just feels cheap, even though it’s still heavy. I should have never sold my professional one for this lousy thing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
