Cleaned and hooked up the fryer only to find the plug had a short in it rendering it unusable

Only problem with product is that the handle on the basket has broken twice in the several months i have had it- mind you i probably use the deep fryer maybe 3 times a month.

I had the problem know that the timer actually turned the unit on, but once I got it I fixed catfish, hush puppies in it and they were delicious.
