Nice addition to the room

I am enjoying the fireplace and the installers didn’t have any problems putting it in. However, I bought crystals, too, but I don’t think this model uses them. I wish the description pointed that out. The “logs” are flat, so there’s no way to place them.

Got off to a terrible start

Directions to remove the two front screws to allow the glass front to be taken off were very poor. Three college educated adults could not figure it out and we ended up taking about 15 of the screws off and no luck. Then after about 45 minutes of frustration, went on YouTube and found a video saying the front plastic needed to be removed and the screws are on the top left and right WITHIN THE FRONT AREAS. Hoping rest of install is easy but come on- you can do better.

I gave it 4 stars just because you say it's 60 inch. The fireplace bed is no where near 60 inches. I wish the glass was around 1 inch higher and deeper to make it easier for a diy to cut tile for the opening.

An Awesome Electric Fireplace

I got this 60" electric fireplace as part of a remodel of my living room. This unit is easy to setup and install. The "fire" looks realistic. The heater works nicely, but don't expect to get toasty warm. There are different settings for the look of the "fire" color and intensity) which allow you to have the look you want. Because I installed this in front of an existing brick fireplace, I had to build a frame in front of the fireplace to install the Touchstone fireplace. I put more effort into building and installing the 2"x6" frame than I did installing the fireplace. I also installed a dedicated 20 amp line for use by the fireplace as I didn't want to overload another circuit when I run the heater and watching TV at the same time. Overall, this is an awesome electric fireplace and I am very pleased with the look and performance.

So far, So Great!

This fireplace is beautiful and was used all weekend right after installed after receiving 10+ inches of snow and below zero temperatures. It will not heat a large room but it will make it cozy within an eight-foot area.
