A great experience from ordering, receiving it quickly and being happy with a beautiful product. It looks great in our new built-in area. Still trying to choose a mantel to complete the project but very pleased with our Touchstone fireplace.

The feeling of warmth

My wife and I spent almost a year and a half looking at the various fireplaces and sizes you offer. This past year we finally decided on the one we felt would fill what we were looking for. We even took the time to make a full size cardboard that included your unit and a fireplace for it. Needless to say, we couldn’t be happier. It looks great and works perfectly. Well done Touchstone.

Seems a bit pricey for features

Our contractor recommended TouchStone as a quality product that would ship quickly. The unit in our new fireplace is indeed very nice. It did ship quickly and arrived in perfect condition. The function of the unit to provide a pleasant source of heat is spot and works well. But...
My primary issue is with the size of the flames. I am disappointed there is not more variety in how big you can create your fire. Even at max flame height, it only takes up about a third of the screen.
Next is that every time you change between options, a rather loud beep sounds. We looked in our manual, there is seemingly no way to disable this sound, which really frightens our dog.
Last is just slight dis-satisfaction in the flame color. Why can't I make my fire shades of green, purple, or a festive combination of green and red or whatever? Silver and gold, copper and orange? It just seems I want more customization than this product provides.
We purchased optional stones and marble for bottom of the fireplace, which replace the provided logs. They are a nice addition, especially if you do change out the base colors for your fireplace.

New ambiance for an old fireplace!

We had a 'normal' old masonry fireplace in our house ...but we rarely used it.
Then we had a brief stay in a vacation home with an electric fireplace insert -- AHA, that was the inspiration we needed! After shopping around for a well-reviewed unit that fit our fireplace opening, we landed on the Forte 40-inch unit .... what a treat, with an easy plug-in install. We are SO glad we purchased this unit. Our old hole-in-the-wall fireplace went from a never-used - to being used every day!!
