Glowing 50” electric fireplace

I had a media wall built around the Touchstone Electric fireplace. It is finally built and the fireplace is installed, true to its specifications. Unfortunately, it has yet to be used, though It was started several times. I am already impressed with the versatility of fire options, and ease of use. I look forward to next winter, watching the warm heat and glow of the fire,

Not powerful

I understand that this is not designed to heat a large space… or even a very small space, but the power of the blower can barely be felt less than 12 inches away. Disappointing.

Beautiful, easy to install

After multiple recommendations to go for a Touchstone fireplace, we pulled the trigger and were not disappointed! Instructions were clear, the unit was lightweight, and results were exactly what we had hoped for. The kids are obsessed with all the color options and while we are in Florida and don’t need heat often, the heat output appears to be significant and we look forward to using it when it does get chilly!

I was skeptical with buying an electric fireplace, but this one did not disappoint. Shipping was very quick and was super easy to install. If your in the market for an electric fireplace, this is the one.

This fireplace is exactly what we were wanting for our family room. The flames and log or crystals are great and we love having both options. The amount of heat that is put out is just right for our room. We have enjoyed it every day since we installed the Sideline 50”. We are extremely happy with our purchase! This is the 2nd Touchstone fireplace in our home and they are both wonderful!

Perfect so far. Have not used it yet. We are actually setting the stone around the fireplace today. One question. The stone is 2 inches thick. What’s better…. Screw the unit to the wall and set stone around the base (making the unit embedded) or use longer to try to set stone underneath the side securing flange so the the unit is more flush to the outside of the stone? I thing Drilling the man made stone could brake the stone. Also the stone is irregular and width so maybe it’s better to set the unit into the wall first and bring the stone around it. What do you think?
