I'm why I'm not seeing anybody else mention this, but the way the bracket is designed and attached to the unit, unless you have a perfectly centered stud where you want to mount, and then perfectly spaced studs along either side, you cannot mount at all, or can mount, but off center, or I guess if you want to ignored the stud requirements I guess you can ignore them completely. I cannot center this where I want it, and even if I were okay with mounting it slightly off center, the ***** slot spacing on the bracket doesn't match my studs at all. Unlike TV mounting brackets that have wide forgiveness for stud installation, that can also slide the tv left or right once it's on the bracket, this is fixed position only.
We are so pleased with this electric fireplace and really like the flexibility of being able to change the flame colors, and the amount of heat generated. It is also nice to change out the wood look to the more modern glass Crystal look. It has modernized our family room and is convenient to use.
Good. I wish the glass was larger on top and bottom, so you had more wiggle room with framing it into the recessed wall. I had to make a finishing trim piece to cover the gap. The fan is a little loud when the heater is on, but it does produce decent amount of heat.
TouchStone's Sideline 50" fireplace is perfect for our Master bedroom. It looks great and helps with heating it on cold nights. The glass front is a favorite. It is hard to see how nice it is online. Really adds to the decor. One small glitch with the delivery though. It was missing a bag which included the remote and installation instructions. Called Touchstone and a replacement was sent out the same day. Even without the installation instructions I installed it with no issues at all - took about 15 minutes..
