Sideline 50 Steel Installed

Just got my Touchstone Sideline 50 in Steel installed and the look is as or better than expected. The only time consuming part was building the surround & mantel. The actual install of the fireplace was a breeze. The heater blower is relatively quiet and hopefully stays that way over time. Can't yet decide if we like the red/orange or multi-color flame best, but if this is my biggest challenge, life is good. My only recommendation for touchstone would be to have the remote designed to show what level the heater/blower is on because the only way I can tell open up the control door panel to look at which led is lit. Overall, I definitely buy again and recommend to anyone looking to install a fireplace...

80004 is exactly what I needed. It keeps the downstairs warm and with realistic flames makes these damp days feel great. I highly recommend it. I built this all by myself.

This was great when we first installed it but it quit working after two years. I would think if you install something permanent, it needs to last. 5 to 10 years would be the minimum I expected it to last, especially in comparison to other products. I was told

We purchased a new home with a huge blank wall about 11'x25". We were sure we wanted a a very special feature to command that big a wall. Had to have a firepalce and I visited all of the showrooms around. I was astonished at the high price tags and install quotes. I discovered Touchsone Products and studied their specs and reviews and decided to try them out. I purchased the Sideline 50 80004 50" Recessed Electric Fireplace and was very impressed with the construction and robustness of the design and quality of the product.

This fireplace is beautiful! We only used the logs not the crystals and it is so realistic looking. Love the different fire options and the heater if needed. Our home is open concept so it won’t throw a lot of heat but pull up a chair to read a book and it’s nice toasty!
