I have been an ardent Laptop user for years, when looking to replace my last laptop I was on HP and was shocked to find a Desktop doesn't come with a huge tower any more!! an all in one Desktop seemed like a novelty until I tried it
Quite pleased with the machine & printer it has all the programmes/apps etc but seems lightweight in construction and it is a constant advertising billboard for Microsoft products. However my previous computer (HP Omni 120 A10 PC) was solid piece of kit which was Google orientated, Perhaps it will take time to get familiar with the new PC. Basically all good.
If you have basic needs e.g. web browsing, emails, YouTube, MS Office stuff, then you can't go too far wrong. I wanted to risk the least necessary spend that would meet my needs, whilst sticking with a top brand name. My concern was RAM size and processing power - but regarding meeting such basic needs, it works absolutely fine.
This machine simplifies everything down to one wire - the power cord (I separately connected a wireless K/B and Mouse, and it would be even better if this came with such rather than the wired kit that it ships with). The screen size is large enough (it's got the width); the speakers are adequate; and the built-in webcam is relatively low res but the upside it smooths out your blemishes. And importantly, all the built-in security features that are part (at least) of the point of Windows 11 and its H/W requirements are all accessible as they should be.
On the last point above, historically I always bought relatively high-end Dell and/or HP machines, but on my previous purchase tried a Mini PC (from one of the typical up and coming Chinese brands), and similarly bought one for my daughter. Both machines were decent, well spec'd and well priced. However, in both cases (and two different brands) some of the key Windows security features were disabled and locked down. I have now returned to a big brand name and feel (at least) that you know what you are dealing with.
Urgently needed to replace our Windows 8 PC, this HP PC came along at a reasonable price so I snapped it up ....... I know it is working a treat as my wife is happy ........ a good buy !!
Bought 8/1/26 after using an HP laptop for last 5yrs, screen size is ideal for me, as did'nt want anything to big, only used for all the normal everyday things at home, does'nt take up a lot of space, so ideal for me.
