Totally is good, but the design don’t make sense.

This set of Lego totally is good. Easy to build, colorful which is match the new year style. But there are some designs do not make sense. First, the boat. It could separate with the calendar. It looks like a new style because there are two things to display. But for me, if only display the boat, the boat looks too empty. Especially for new year, I would like to add some bricks in the boat, such like lucky money (red envelopes), gold,etc. Second, if I put the calendar on the boat, the original bottom part for the calendar becomes extra, there is nothing special to display. It will waste the bottom.
In this case, if I want to display both of the boat and the calendar together as two independently, and make them look better, I have to buy other bricks for it. So I won’t recommend it.

Nice display piece

This set went together easily. However, I wish there were a way to attach both parts together. I don't like having the calendar in two parts. I also had an issue with some of the piece colors in the instruction manual. Some of them did not match very well the actual piece colors. Also,I am having a problem getting the hair piece on the woman. (Haven't managed yet.) All in all, I'm glad I bought and built the set.

Lovely Calendar and Display

This set was really fun to build and will be a great part of my Lunar New Year display and beautiful to have on display year round. The calendar can sit on the base with the year or in the dragon boat so the display can be changed up without being taken apart and the directions for numbers are included to update the year so it can continue to be used as long as you want it. There is some really fun parts use in this including the horse manes as waves. It's always fun to see the different ways LEGO designers find to use parts.

The only thing I'm disappointed about is that the inner disks have to be rotated by hand.

Bought this for my husband to display on his desk at work. We are a huge Lego family. Fun to build but NO QR Code on Building Manual. How am I supposed to register for my VIP Loyalty points?

Great model for Year of the Dragon

A fun build. Love that the components are built individually and can then be assembled in a variety of ways. It was also fun to see how elements used in other builds became components in this one.
