Instructions flaw

Step 26 is repeated again on steps 27 and 28 with part #6337002. Thought I was missing 2 of these pieces until I looked at the back of the instruction booklet and say that I had the right amount. Also, part number 6400128 in my opinion should be in red instead of white so that it can blend in with the sticker and look good on future builds of my own.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fun build. Am a dragon lover and am of Asian descent so especially loved this piece. I altered the build by added some pieces to use bothe the stand and the dragon boat since I loved both stands!

Excited to see the set available for lunar new year. Shared it with my students and they loved it. Easy to follow instructions produce a colorful set that can be used for future lunar New Years moving forward!

Love This Perpetual Calendar!

I have been hoping that Lego would release a new perpetual calendar after the Lego Iconic Brick Calendar was retired. When I saw this online, I ordered it right away. How lovely that Lego came out with a Lunar New Year / Asian themed perpetual calendar!
I like how the set includes options and the flexibility of having two different bases to mount the calendar unit upon. The build was easy, however I had a tough time deciding on placement of the number stickers for the date wheels. The instructions show to place them right by the side edge of the wheel, but the image on the front of the box has the number stickers in the middle. I played around with mine and it was easy to lightly adhere the sticker (but not all the way) and remove to adjust placement. IMHO placing the number sticker on the edge like in the instructions manual makes the calendar look odd. I placed mine nearly in the center. You just have to make sure your placement is even for the month wheels and date wheels so that there isn’t a huge gap (or so that they aren’t too close to the middle). Hope that makes sense.
I really enjoyed building this and look forward to displaying it on my desk for Lunar New Year and the months ahead!!

Interesting idea, not the best quality control

This is a cute little set that is a perpetual calendar to celebrate the traditional Spring festival. It comes with alternate bases and the ability to swap out the year numbers so it's not just for 2024. The minifigures included are good.
However, there are a lot of stickers included for a set of this size and the die cut on the sticker sheet was way off to the point where I would have called LEGO customer service for replacement if this had been a more expensive set and I wasn't more interested in the dragon boat base than the red envelopes and coins, etc.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Finally a new Calendar

It is nice to get a new calendar after the last one (Brick calendar 40172) was discontinued about 3 years ago. Fun to build, a nice 20 relaxing minutes with your favorite playlist and a hot beverage. Note: take your time for the stickers on the dial. I also like that it comes with a minifigure.
My daughter liked it so much that she “stole” it, and put it on her nightstand and make sure the date is the correct one as soon as she wakes up (right after she turns the page of her minifig daily calendar).
It is a nice set and help kids to maintain a routine.
