A really awesome set. Build was a little rough at points because it’s basically a technic set, but once completed it looks amazing and functions really well. And 8 franchise essential minifigures is a huge plus. Picked this one up because this may be the only dune set they ever release, and if it is at least it’s a banger

I love the design. The Ornithopter wings—while slightly delicate and prone to warping—look great. The cockpit and landing gear design, though, are WAY too delicate even for display purposes, never mind play. 90-degree angle mounts, an entire canopy held by two studs, and a Technic-articulated set of landing gear make this very impressive, but incredibly delicate. Tight tolerances and tenuous mounting mean that just moving from build area to display may require a lot of rework. I applaud the engineering, but it doesn’t feel like this was play-teated.

Great homage to the movie

The ratio of minifigs to pieces in this set makes for a really fun build. Watching the movies and building the ornithopter side-by-side was one of a kind experience, you can really see the love and attention to detail. I just hope they more release more Dune sets in the future.

The highlight is the build process, with so many great intricate combinations of pieces to form the nice flapping mechanism we see later on the demos. I love this series and started to research more about the books after building this set. Thank you LEGO!
