Incredible picture quality and smooth performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this Samsung Odyssey G8 monitor for both work during the day and gaming at night. Testing out the Dual Mode while playing Call of Duty made fast motion feel super fluid compared to my older setup, which made tracking moving targets a lot easier. Text looks super clean when I have two windows side-by-side for work, and the menu button underneath is easy to navigate when adjusting screen settings. Overall, it’s been a really nice addition to my setup.

6K Dual Threat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Odyssey G8 for both work and gaming, and it has been a great all-around monitor. While it excelled serving as a second monitor for my laptop, I mainly use it for gaming. The stand is very stable, though it is a deep pad, vs a leg configuration of my last one; make sure your keyboard fits how you will expect.
Gaming: where this monitor really stands out. I can use the higher resolution when I want the best picture, or switch to Dual Mode and run up to 330Hz at 3K for smoother gameplay OR if my GPU doesn't have enough horsepower on the AAA titles. I’ve been playing Roblox, Halo and Borderlands 4 on it and it looks great...the large screen and high refresh rate making everything feel very smooth.
For work: the 32-inch 6K display gives me a huge amount of workspace. At 120Hz, Windows feels smooth, especially while scrolling and moving between windows. The connectivity is easy and the picture is excellent too. Colors look natural, HDR makes everything bright and sharp, and the anti-reflective screen does a good job without making the picture look grainy.
The LED ring on the back is what you'd expect and it is easy to control in the menu. Overall, the Odyssey G8 gives me a very sharp display for work, great HDR and colors, and excellent gaming performance. It’s a really good choice if you want one monitor that can do both.

PERFECT ADDITION TO MY SETUP

I use one computer for both work and personal use, switching between two Windows installations at boot, so I needed a monitor that could handle both roles well.
For work, I spend a lot of time in remote access sessions, and the 6K resolution is a game changer: I can keep a remote desktop in a small window and still read every bit of text on it clearly. That alone has made my workflow noticeably better.
On the personal side, I switch between the high-resolution mode for photo editing and media consumption and the high-refresh mode for gaming, and the transition is completely seamless.
The matte, non-reflective panel is also a pleasure to look at, and since it's IPS rather than OLED, burn-in is one thing I never have to think about.

Amazing!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I came from a 32-inch curved monitor and didn’t expect to notice this much of a difference. The colors look way better, blacks look noticeably better, and everything just looks sharper. I did prefer the curved screen at first, but I’ve gotten used to the flat screen pretty quickly.
Gaming is where I’ve noticed the biggest difference. I’ve played Modern Warfare since 2019 and Fortnite since Season 2, so I know both games really well. Even on an older game like 2019 Modern Warfare I can notice a difference in the graphics and reaction time. I’ve been playing the new Black Ops too and noticed the same thing.
Fortnite is probably where the difference is most noticeable though, especially with timing. Before, I sometimes felt like other players were seeing me before I could see them. Now I feel like it’s almost the opposite. Everything feels quicker and more responsive.
Overall I’m really happy with it. The picture quality is a big upgrade from my old monitor and gaming just feels better on it.

Productivity by Day - Gaming by Night

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor is a productivity workhorse by day and a gaming machine by night. I has dual inputs so that I can have two computers connected and switch between them easily.
When hooked up to my laptop, it gives me a large 32” 6K useable desktop. Unfortunately, my eyes aren’t quite up to that challenge and all that space! I typically run it at 3K for my daily work which gives me a great compromise of usable desktop space while keeping everything large enough and comfortable to read. When running at 120Hz all of the OS animations and transitions are buttery smooth.
My Laptop automatically detected the right color profile and to be honest, it looks every bit as good to me as the built-in high-definition LED display. With the HDR setting enabled everything comes across as very crisp, bright, and sharp. The Screen itself is anti-reflective and thankfully doesn't have any grainy or overly matte coating that distorts the image on some monitors. The colors are vibrant and not oversaturated. I find images and documents look rich and color accurate. I like the built in USB hub as well. It prevents another item from having to add clutter.
Switching to gaming is where this monitor really stands out. I no longe have to choose between a high-resolution productivity focused monitor and a high-refresh gaming monitor. I can run high resolution when image quality is important or switch to Dual Mode running up to 330Hz at 3K when response times matter. Having both in one monitor is a unique feature and saves me either sacrificing one, or spending money on two.
My one gripe is the lack of USB-C/Thunderbolt connectivity. I prefer that direct USB-C connection for my laptop but i had a spare USB-C-to-DisplayPort cables have worked perfectly so it hasn't been too big of an issue.
I found the included stand to be pretty nice. It is sturdy, adjustable and like that it can rotate the big 32" monitor 90 degrees for vertical use. I use and prefer a monitor arm to save desk space and for easy repositioning.
Overall, the Odyssey G8 gives me an extremely crisp 6K picture, bright HDR image quality, excellent color reproduction and a huge desktop along with gaming refresh rates. It’s the most well rounded 6K monitors I’ve found for someone who wants who takes both their productivity and gaming seriously.

Excellent Everyday Use Monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was initially shocked at just how big a 32” monitor is coming from my older 23” screen. That said, I really appreciate being able to have my email open next to my web browser at the same time with room to spare.
I know this monitor says it’s 6K, but personally I don’t know that I could tell you the technical difference between 4K and 6K. What I can say is that everything is very bright and clear, and I don’t have to strain to read things. When viewing family photos, all of the pictures are bright, colorful, and much more vibrant than I am used to.
My mouse also seems to track across the screen much smoother than before, with no blurriness or trail when moving it quickly. I appreciate that even with overhead lamps on, I don’t see distracting reflections on the screen.
I know this monitor is advertised as having gaming capabilities. At first I wasn’t sure I made the right decision because I don’t game, but for everyday use this monitor has been excellent. It’s very clear, bright, smooth, big, and easy to use . I’m very happy with it.
