The 5K2K resolution is breathtakingly sharp, and the 21:9 aspect ratio provides plenty of room to snap multiple windows side-by-side. The built-in KVM switch and massive 140W Thunderbolt 5 charging make switching between my work laptop and personal PC effortless. Plus, the 144Hz refresh rate keeps motion incredibly fluid. Highly recommended for any home office!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First as foremost, I'd like to say that I am using this monitor with the supplied USB C/lighting wire, without any issues or problems with connectivity.
Now on to the main course, haha. Putting it the monitor together seemed daunting at first, but then I looked at the instruction guide and it literally came together in three steps. No screws, no stress... It was amazingly easy to put together. As you can imagine, due to the size, it'll be heavy. I’ve really enjoyed using the Samsung 40" ViewFinity S8 for both work and everyday multitasking. The wide, curved 5K2K display gives me plenty of room to keep several apps open at once without constantly switching between windows, and the picture looks crisp with strong color and contrast.
The Thunderbolt 5 connection and built-in KVM have made my desk setup much simpler. I used to have a connector that I used to connect everything to and then route that to my old monitor and my laptop, but now I can charge my laptop and switch between two devices using the same keyboard and mouse. The 144Hz refresh rate also makes scrolling and on-screen movement feel noticeably smoother. Overall, it has been a fantastic monitor that makes long workdays more efficient. Another point to note is that the ergonomic design allowed me to tilt and swivel the monitor until I found the right sweet spot for my set up, I love it. I highly recommend this monitor!

Perfect Monitor for Work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At work I had a multi-monitor monitor setup, but they were only 1080p and having individual monitors has its set of quirks in that apps don't remember which monitor they're at and the slight color/brightness differences; plus the need to have a dedicated docking station with the plethora of wires. The 40" ViewFinity S8 is a major upgrade on all fronts. Not only do I get a massive field of view with the 40" curved monitor, I have the flexibility of having an app be full screen, or tile two apps or even four; with no quirks. Having an HDR, 5K2K WUHD display makes everything crisp, vibrant and easy to read. It is a joy to program with the 21:9 aspect ratio. The major bonus is that the monitor has a KVM integrated, meaning I got rid of my docking station and the monitor has it built in! A lot less wires, plus it has built-in speakers which are superior to the ones on my laptop. Now I only need a single wire to my laptop to power everything! As a bonus, I am using a magnetic USB-C adapter, making it super simple. The setup for the monitor was a breeze! Literally only 3 steps, no tools required. Snap stand to the monitor, place stand on base and turn. Took me longer to plugin the wires. My only quibble is the power output may not match what powerful laptops would expect, but it's not a real world problem. The other thing is I wish it had better cable management, like more areas to tie things down or hide behind panels. Otherwise, this is a fantastic monitor for work!
