[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung 40" ViewFinity S8 monitor is amazing. It has superb visual clarity and a refresh rate that makes for a great gaming experience. The wide screen lets me see things I would normally not be able to on the sides which can make a huge impact on gaming.
When not using for games the screen space makes multi tasking easy. I was easily able to have three separate browsers open as well as file folders. The swivel angle is decent relative to its size. The up and down angle could be better but in any normal circumstance it is perfectly fine.
The built in speakers were better than expected and sounded pretty good. The only major negative for me was the very short power cord it came with. My outlet is not directly behind the computer so I had to buy an extension cord to reach. The power plug and the hdmi hookups are not on the same side, power being on the right side hookups on the left.
Overall I would highly recommend this monitor for either gaming or multitasking where numerous windows must be open at once.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A Productivity Powerhouse

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since I switched to an ultrawide monitor a few years ago, I quickly realized how superior they were for coding, office work, and just general productivity. The extra screen width is just too useful. You could have a code editor, browser, and documentation all open side by side in three windows without it feeling cramped. Not having to swap between windows all the time speeds up tasks and helps me stay focused on what I’m working on.
Unfortunately, while other monitors seemed to keep moving into sharper territory, ultrawides felt a bit stuck for a while. It seemed like you could only get them in one flavor - 34 inches at 3440 x 1440. That’s not bad, but I yearned for sharper text. When you’re coding, reading, or just staring at tiny UI elements all day, that extra sharpness can feel like a huge QoL improvement. At the same time, however, I was dreading having to part with all that extra screen real estate. Luckily, with Samsung’s new S85TH, I am no longer forced to make that compromise!
Simply put, this thing is magnificent. A 40 inch screen at 5120 x 2160 is more than double the pixels of my old 32 inch 1440p ultrawide, and a noticeable jump in pixel density as well. Text looks sharper and the extra vertical height means I can now comfortably display 4 windows in a 2 by 2 pattern. The display can get super bright and there is even an ambient light sensor at the bottom of the monitor that can automatically adjust brightness for less eye strain. Aside from just the display itself, this thing is chock full of productivity features, so much so that it basically eliminates the need for a dedicated laptop dock. There is a dedicated KVM switch built into the monitor that supports connections from two sources, meaning you can connect all of your peripherals to the seemingly endless number of USB 3.0 ports on the rear and bottom of the monitor and they will automatically connect to whichever source is displayed. There’s also a Thunderbolt 5 port that allows for lightning fast data transfers between the two connected devices and, alternatively, you can use it to charge your laptop, phone, etc. with up to 140W of charging power. But that’s not all! There is even a LAN port on the monitor that can provide an internet connection to both devices connected via the KVM, eliminating the need for a separate ethernet connection! It is difficult to overstate just how loaded this thing is, and all these features mean fewer wires, adapters, and clutter on your desk.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The screen in absolutely amazing beautiful picture the color looks great the brightness is fantastic the curve is perfect the resolution quality is great and it is the fastest screen I have had
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The monitor exceeded my expectations. The resolution is incredibly sharp and the colors are very accurate, making daily work and basic design easier. At first, I wasn't sure about the curvature, but it really helps the dive and makes the view less tired. In addition, the responsiveness is excellent; the movements on the screen feel fluid and without any delay. The only minor detail is [adds some cons here, such as 'the menu buttons' or 'the fixed support'], but in general it offers top-notch quality for its price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Highly recommend... 5 you mean 10 20 30 100 stars The brightness , the color and resolution made it even more appealing. The best mo ey I spent on the 40 inch VF S8..
