A beautiful monitor with some modern flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor is honestly beautiful and large. The build quality is a little plasticy with the housing of the inputs also kind of poorly made. Other than that though the display itself is hefty and beautiful. The starting brightness can be a little low with low contrast but I put it on entertainment and it felt like it was bright enough.
Here is what’s good there’s Thunderbolt 5, display port and hdmi. Plenty of options with dock like support built into the monitor. The 5k Uwuhd is great for productivity it fits so much and the display easily has one of the best looking images I’ve seen. The stand is sturdy and heavy with quite a few options to set up the perfect view though it is not hard with such a large set up. The high refresh is appreciated but really not much is needed for productivity if you do light gaming this might be nice but I think a brighter monitor may be better for that.
But here we get to the bad. Thunderbolt 5 constantly disconnects for me on my laptop. Connection seems to constantly lose its connection. HDMI is also very shaky at times but I found a simple power cycle on the monitor will fix this but for a monitor this nice it really needs to not have these issues to be perfect. I contacted Samsung help and though they tried it seems this issue will need to be fixed in a future update.
All in all i think the monitor is a beautiful display with an amazing image. It has 5K and many of the modern connections but it does has some flaws keeping it from getting a perfect score.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So much better than multiple monitors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a bit of a sceptic originally because I really enjoyed having 3 different screens - it gave a home for everything. But this new ultra-wide has been night and day difference so far. I didn't realize what I was missing until I used this for a full 8 hour workday. The colors are deep and the 144 hz refresh rate is so high I don't get any kind of flicker. The stand is heavy and does not move at all, even when I'm pushing the monitor up and down. My computer can easily handle this extreme resolution as well as a few other smaller monitors along with.
Video playback on this beast is just amazing - plus I still have room to put a few smaller windows since the movies aren't even recorded this wide.
Plenty of ports and I especially like the one on the bottom right in the frame - I can finally charge my phone with a tiny short USB cable!
I would recommend you have someone help you place this on your desk just because it's so big. My next goal is to place another one just like it directly above it, so I'll need to find a wall mount for it.
Highly recommended, especially for someone that works behind a computer as much as we do. The best monitor we've ever owned - hands down.
