Crock-Pots are great for making cooking easier since you can just toss in your ingredients and let it cook all day! They're perfect for stews, soups, and even desserts. The low and slow cooking really brings out the flavors!

Way Too Hot

Like others, I should have read the reviews before I bought this Crockpot. I have had several Crockpots and they all worked well, but we needed a bigger one, so we bought this unit.
No matter what setting I set, it gets too hot, especially in one corner, and then it boils the stew or burns whatever I am trying to cook. It does this even on the "Keep Warm" setting.
I measured the temperature of the stew in the corner that is boiling the most and it is 190 F when on "Keep Warm"
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello, Thank you for sharing your experience with the Crock-Pot® Programmable 7-Quart Cook and Carry Slow Cooker, and we understand how frustrating it must be to see your meals overheat no matter which setting you choose. This model is designed to maintain steady, gentle heat, even on Keep Warm, so the temperatures you’re describing, especially the 190°F reading in one corner, are not typical of how the unit should perform. Your feedback is important, and we’d like to look into this further, as uneven or excessive heating isn’t expected with this slow cooker.

Great for lazy meals

I love my crock pot especially if I want to cook something lazy. You can slow cook all day or speed it up by putting it to high. Just put the food to cook and do worry about it until it’s done!

The interior ceramic piece broke after two uses. The outside of the Crock-Pot gets miserably hot. This is probably the worst Crock-Pot I have ever owned and instead of being able to use it, it is going to the landfill because it leaks into the outer shell of the crock pot through the cracked ceramic. How does it even crack like this!? Disappointed with this product for sure. Quality is subpar.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Crock-Pot® Programmable 7-Quart Cook & Carry Slow Cooker.
We’re very sorry to hear that the ceramic insert cracked after only two uses and that the unit became unsafe to use. This is certainly not the quality or durability we expect from a Crock-Pot product.
Ceramic inserts can crack if exposed to sudden temperature changes, such as placing a cold insert into a hot base or adding cold liquids to a hot insert. That said, cracking after such limited use is understandably frustrating and not the experience we want for our customers. The outer housing can also become hot during operation, but it should never pose a safety concern or result in leaking.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and strongly recommend contacting us directly with your purchase details so we can offer further support.
Please reach out to us via our Contact Us form on our website. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am - 5pm Eastern Time.

I have had this for about a year. It is very cheaply made. The gray outside cover moves around and comes out if you touch it. I noticed several months ago that the ceramic insert looks like it started getting some hairline cracks but hey looked superficial. When I would use it, I always noticed there was a brown liquid on the outside òf the ceramic insert. After I cooked with it yesterday, I have noticed that it now is probably unusable. The ceramic insert has so many cracks that I'm afraid it will explode or burst if I use it again.

Hello, Thank you for sharing your experience with the Crock-Pot® Programmable Crockpot 7-Quart Cook and Carry Slow Cooker. We’re very sorry to hear about the issues you’ve encountered, as the safety and durability of our products are very important to us. I received my 7-Quart Crock pot as a Christmas gift. The size is just right for my family. I’ve have only used it a handful of times since receiving it, and the other night while cooking, the screw stripped from the handle and broke and came right off the lid. It’s still under warranty, however Crockpot is refusing to send out a replacement handle to fix the issue. I’ve sent all required documentation and they still don’t want to replace a simple issue that’s beyond my control.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not my favorite, but will work in the mean time

I bought this to replace my 15-year-old Hamilton Beach slow cooker of similar design. I have used it once and I found that although it is the capacity I was looking for, the logistics are not my favorite. It only has three small rubber feet on the bottom, so while stirring the pot is prone to shift and tilts to the back left or right since that is the side with only one foot. The feet are also not sticky enough to keep the pot from slipping around the counter if you are not holding the handle. The outside also gets really hot to the touch, even on low, so you absolutely must hold the handle while stirring or serving.

Hello! Thank you for sharing your experience—we understand how important stability and ease of use are when cooking. Here are a few tips that may help improve your experience: 1. Place the unit on a non-slip surface (such as a silicone mat or damp towel underneath) to reduce movement while stirring. 2. Always hold the handle while stirring or serving to keep the unit steady and avoid shifting. 3. Use heat-resistant gloves or mitts when handling the outer surface, as it can get hot during operation. 4. Position the cooker on a flat, stable countertop away from edges to prevent tilting. We appreciate your feedback and will be sure to share it with our team for review. If you need any further assistance, please feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help. https://www.crock-pot.com/support/contact-us
