Great Electric Kettle!

I like the design of having a base that plugs in for the kettle to sit on and heat up so I don't have to unplug the kettle to take it over to wear I want to pour water. It works really well and is convenient.

The Toastmaster 1.7L Electric Kettle is really nice! It’s easy to use, it works well, it heats up fast, and it looks nice.
This kettle is extremely easy to set up, operate, and the instructions are clear and easy to understand. To set it up all you have to do is rinse the inside with warm soapy water and then you boil water in it twice and discard, then it’s ready to use. There were no odors or smoke like the instructions suggested were possible when using it for the first time.
This kettle works so well and I really love the size. I often only heat up half a liter of water at a time for a single cup for myself, and this electric kettle does it fast and efficiently. Operation of the kettle is easy, the button to open the lid works well and is conveniently placed. Then you fill to your desired amount, close the lid, return the kettle to its base, and then all you have to do is press down on the power switch, the light comes on, and then once the water boils it automatically shuts off. The auto-off feature is so nice. I also like that you can stop the kettle mid heat-up if needed just by flipping the switch back up. The water pours easily from the kettle through a strainer which I really like because I have hard water and I always collect scaling in my appliances.
The kettle looks nice, I like that it has a viewing window to see inside, and I like that the base has a stainless-steel accent; it matches with my kitchen really well.
Overall, I really like this electric kettle. It’s very easy to use, it works well, and it looks really nice. I would absolutely recommend it!

Portable Budget Water Kettle That Does the Job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great budget Electric Kettle if you don't want to invest in one of those high-end customizable kettles. The Toastmaster 1.7 Liter Electric Kettle does what it claims and is straightforward to use. It simply heats up water and gives you the freedom to have hot water on hand even without a stove. The kettle itself has a lightweight build. I was a bit concerned that the construction is mostly plastic but it's supposedly made of low-risk BPA materials.
It takes about nine minutes for the kettle to heat up a full pot of water and about 3 for a small pot. What I like is the swivel base which allows you to spin the kettle around for easy handling. The handle is comfortable to grip and the spout allows you to pour in continuous fluid stream without splashing. The extra water viewing window feature allows you to see how much water is in the kettle. It automatically shuts off when the heating cycle is finished which is a great safety feature to have. It beats having to wait for the stovetop kettle to heat up and having to manually turn off the fire on the stove.
I do have some minor complaints about the kettle. It doesn't pour out the last bits of water when it gets low due to its construction, so you need to up-end it completely to get out the remaining liquid. It also needs maintenance during cleaning once in a while or else it starts building up specks and residue that is a result of minerals in faucet water. I recommend cleaning it with vinegar once the specks appear to get rid of the stuck of residue. Be sure to rinse it thoroughly as well afterwards to get rid of the vinegar taste.
I've used this kettle to make tea, pour-over coffee, and have also used it to make instant soups and ramens. I have had no issues with it so far and think it's a great alternative if you're looking for a inexpensive water kettle that simply does its job.

Fast and Safe

Simple - effective - kettle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Must have for tea lovers! I'd always wanted an electric kettle and this one does the trick unpretentiously. Heats water quickly without a fuss. We might get really crazy one day and use it to heat up soup but loving it for tea making otherwise

Easy to use, slow to boil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product a few days ago. It is very simple to use, but it takes longer than I expected to boil a liter of water. With the amount of time taken, it may even be just as quick to boil a kettle on the stovetop

Perfect for everyday use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We make a lot of coffee and tea in our household, as well as soups on occassion. I have always used either a microwave, traditional tea kettle, or a pot on the stove top to heat up water. The Toastmaster electric kettle has been the best option for heating up water within minutes and without heating up the kitchen. I don't have to worry about noisy tea kettle whistles and I can easily use it wherever I need hot water since it can be used on any countertop. I love the water window as I can quickly check water levels with ease and the rotating base makes it easy to grab with either hand and pour. I would recommend this kettle to anyone.

So Easy to Use!

All you do is fill it with water, set it down and press a button then wait for the button to pop back up!!! And you have steaming hot water perfect for tea or hot coca!! And it’s very fast! Far faster than putting water on a stove!!!
