The pink drinking cap was simply placed on top. Doesn’t click into place and therefore doesn’t work as a cap to close. Very disappointing was supposed to be a Christmas gift. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but I don’t want anyone to have the same experience.

As other reviews have stated, it does leak. Fortunately, I work outside so it doesn’t bother me too much. When I get home, however, I don’t love it dripping water everywhere. I probably would not have gotten it if I could do it all over. Pretty disappointed.

I got this 1/2 gallon jug because it reminded me of the one that I grew up with. You remember those half gallon igloos you would bring to soccer games that felt like they lasted the entire day to drink? Although this retro half gallon jug looks really cool,functionality-wise the fall short. Inside area is smaller than I remember but the main snafu is with the lid and spout. You can tell when you pick up the lid that is made of chintzy plastic and the spout cover is also poorly made. It is hard to open and when you open it it feels light and breakable. Many a times my daughter said that she had pulled it off just trying to open it up. If you have a choice go for the old school one not the retro one.
