Worked very well

The machine ran my entire house after Milton went through. Only issue was the natural gas line didn’t work so used both gas and propane. Maybe I had too small of gas line? Had half inch when maybe 3/4 inch is optimal.

Just got around to testing it out but hahve not had the need to use it extensively. Seems like a well thought out design. Lots of features.

Just bought it -started it up. Have not used it yet. Have been reading reviews about people leaving a review and not receiving the promotional free cover for leaving a review. I hope this is not true. I will be leaving another review if I don't receive mine.

Best overall generator in its class for my home

Before I bought this Westinghouse generator, I compared it to comparable generators from other manufacturers. The WGen9500TFc was the standout with its higher running amps, the 50A outlet that could be used to connect into my home's electrical panel, and the push button start, which worked perfectly when I started the unit. Very happy I bought this generator.

Easy set up with no extra tools needed. Poured in the included bottle of oil. Removed the spark plug and placed less than a teaspoon of oil in the cylinder wall and pulled it 10 times to distribute that oil. Reinstalled, spark plug. I then hooked up to a propane bottle and hit the remote start button started right up. Ran flawlessly for one hour with no power hook up. I then began to vary the wattage from 750 W to 3500 for 15 minutes and shut it down. Will continue to break in less than 50% rated wattage for five hours and then change the oil and it should be ready to go for the big load.

I bought this generator the first part of November and the instructions were easy to use and get it all set up, I had no trouble at all. I am so very happy with my choice.

It worked perfectly out of the box. Now, half a year later, the starter is very sticky and so will sometimes simply not turn over the engine. Also, if it is too cold, as in around 20° F, the small battery included with the generator is simply not strong enough to cold-start the generator whether the starter happens to be working or not, so we've had to jump it on several occasions using spare car batteries we had around.
Also, recently the generator has started to simply turn itself off while under minimal load with no warning, even with a full gas tan, full clean oil, and freshly cleaned air filter. The exhaust detector has been ruled out as well, as it is outside under shelter and the exhaust detection shutoff light was not blinking. I'm at a bit of a loss on that phenomenon.
Anyway, we've been using this generator with some regularity in addition to solar and wind. I would certainly prefer it to simply work as it is well maintained.
