Portable Generator with Great Features

Don't underestimate the importance of tri fuel. If this is a generator for home use, when you need it, fuel availability may be an issue. This generator can use gasoline, propane and natural gas and enhances the ability to locate fuel and use it in a difficult situation. The generator comes with a 30A and 50A receptacle for transfer switches. I found the 50A to be hard to find elsewhere. The electric start also operates by an included remote and there is a recoil start should it be needed. The generator arrives fully assembled other that the wheels and front supports. They are easy to install with the included instructions. The extras that are included are a propane line as well as a 25-foot natural gas line, engine oil, a few tools, and a very helpful operating manual. I was surprised by the footprint for this generator as it is relatively compact for a unit with this power and features. It will easily fit in a corner of the garage or shed and not be in the way. Portability is good as it has decent size wheels that make for smooth movement. There are some great features on this generator, and you can review them online as Westinghouse makes the operating manual available along with other information.

Great features

I recently bought this item because I live in Florida. I went through Irma and Ian being with out power for at least 10 days each time. We had a generator that ran just a few items. Checking reviews and features I picked this generator to run my whole house and be able to use multiple fuel sources. I hope I do not need to use, but if I do, it will be awesome to have. And it looks very nice.

Not 1 not 2 but 3 different fuel sources possible!

Purchased this unit six weeks ago. Unboxing and set-up went very smoothly. I utilized a 4-wheel dolly to set the shipping box on which made it very convenient to unpack and maneuver the unit around. It was easy to install the wheels and the foot brackets while the unit sat on the 4-wheel dolly. My first test of the unit, after properly adding the oil, and going through the remainder of the set-up instructions, was using propane gas as the fuel. The unit started up right away. I ran the generator for about 30 minutes with no problems. About two weeks later, after getting the proper connector for my house natural gas, I tested with natural gas. The generator did not start immediately, but on the second start attempt. Again I ran the unit for about 30 minutes with no problems. At this point, about two months after purchase, I am very satisfied with this Westinghouse tri-fuel capable generator.

Great Generator

I have access to Natural Gas, and I like the fact that this runs on Nat Gas. I don't have to deal with gas cans or LP cylinders.

Convenient trifuel model

I had inlet box and interlocking device installed by an electrician. The remining part to connect with a 50 A transfer cable and turn on is a snap. The propane option is excellent that I always have a tank for BBQ and the fuel does not go bad after long storage as we expect only occasional uses to support internet and aquarium aeration during power outages. I expect maintenance to be easier than gasoline fuel as well. The unit is very cost effective in terms of power/cost ratio.
