I bought this generator for a back use if the power goes out. Had it tested to run the house and it does great.

WGen10500FTc Solid Unit & Great Features

Box came slightly beat up, but nothing that impacted the unit. It is heavy, took 2 guys to get it into my SUV and moving it before the wheels were attached was a chore! However the unit looks and feels solid. Started right up after following the setup instructions. No information on break-in, but looked it up on the internet, run 1 hour no load, change the oil and repeat, then run with a load of no more than 50% for an hour. I could not locate any break-in information on the WestingHouse website, and it was extremely difficult to locate parts, like spark plug and air filter. Finally found the spark plug part number and ordered them, got regular oil for the break-in and synthetic for later, but have yet be able to order an air filter. I like to have parts on hand for the future. In my research this unit got great reviews and so far the unit is living up to those reviews. Will be testing it out on running the whole house after the break-in. If I remember I will update this review with those results, which I expect to be glowing! Will see about adding photos and video of the break-in and initial load run.
Love the 50amo lug, remote start, battery charger plug in and the ability to put in auto switch over. Hoping the auto start works like the stand bye generators as this is for my daughters house and I would like her not to have to do the breakers and start the generator during a storm.

Hasn’t let me down

This generator can be started by remote, push button on the unit, or pull rope. Starts every way, every time. It’s great that I can run off natural gas so I don’t have to store fuel or worry about stabilizer. I have gas on hand as a back up. Fantastic product to run the whole house .
