Bought this to run my house electric. I like that it runs on propane so it can sit unused and always be ready to go.

Great features

Purchased this as a home backup solution for hurricanes. So far so good. Quieter than my traditional generator that had half of the power output. Battery start is very nice feature.

High output inverter with great features

This high output portable generator/inverter was just what I needed to set up a whole house backup power system for a 100 amp service panel with an automatic transfer switch. The total cost was one third the quoted price of a big name whole house system. The big name system also required an expensive service contract to validate their extended warranty coverage.
The iGen came delivered on a pallet in a very sturdy box with absolutely no damage. The unpacking and setup documentation was first rate and very accurately matched the unit which made it easy to follow. Everything you need for setup is included, the hardware was of very good quality, and even the wrenches and oil were included. After adding fuel, the unit started and ran with no issues. All displays and switches worked flawlessly and were easy to understand. The unit is quieter with a light load than I suspected it would be, which is a pleasant surprise.

iGEN11000DFc INVENTOR (Big Blue)

Wanted a big whole house/emergency power inventor generator with low THD and this fit the bill. Doing the initial 5 hr break in now. For a big generator its pretty quiet, you can carry on a conversation near it and still be heard. Oil spigot will not thread into oil pan, small annoyance. Tires are on the small side, maybe an issue moving across yard or bare ground. Overall I think this will be a great emergency back up generator with enough power to run my whole house. Nickname = Big Blue.

Excellent Generator

I recently purchased this generator as a replacement for a 15 year old lower wattage non-inverter model. This generator is much quieter, has many more features and most importantly provides cleaner power. No more fluttering or dimming house lights. Dual fuels work flawlessly. Well worth the investment.
