I bought this igen8200tfc tri-fuel inverter generator at appx 30% discount 3 weeks ago during (Jan 2026) polar vortex.
The thousands of reviews showed it has an unusually positive rating, 4.8/5 stars at one major vendor and 4.9/5 on another.
We never lost utility power, so I'm just now registering and then doing break-in procedures later today.
I did the inventory and inspection. It came with a REAL full-size manual!
Its about an hour to fully read it/bookmark it, but the manual is very readable and well-illustrated (Thank You, Westinghouse!).
I charged the battery overnight with the supplied trickle-charger. Added the supplied 10w30 engine oil (the supplied flexible screw-in filler funnel worked great to prevent any drips).
So far everything looks correct per my inspection of connections, housing, panels, etc.
Overall looks good. It is definately a quite heavy (135lbs) item, but for its power output level (6,600 RUNNING watts) is relatively light. I am able to lift it, but will be using ramps to load it in the back of my 2004 F150 bed. It's height (22 inches) just barely fits under my tonneau cover, but will transport just fine. (Sweet!).
I just wanted to register it prior to first break-in startup.

I did a lot of research and came to the conclusion that this is the generator was the right one for us. Just unpacked it and getting it ready to run. It was packaged well and in perfect condition and complete.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worked right out of the box absolutely fine. Very quiet as claimed, Completed 8 hours of break in so far and even worked right off to charge our Tesla Model X.

So far, very good. Still in break-in period. Easy-to-follow instructions to float the neutral wire. A very important safety step when using a generator inlet plug and panel interlock.

I picked up my generator four days ago. Luckily, we did not have to use it just yet for a power outage. It was a simple, quick, set up to start which was great. My expectations were met with ease. I am satisfied with the purchase, and I would recommend the model.

High Quality Generator

Bought as backup power for my home. Received all items intact. User Manual is well done with clear instructions and diagrams. Have not used it yet, but it appears to be a very nice unit. I particularly like the tri-fuel feature.
