Easy to start

I bought one and it would not start. After some back and forth with the westinghouse people trying to troubleshoot I ended up sending it back and getting another delivered. The new one started on the second pull.

Great features and compact size

Got this to replace a 10 yr old portable generator that was nearly twice the size. Looking for to this Westinghouse generator to power many items in my home in the event of a prolonged power outage.

After a lot of research, I decided to go with the 5300v. The unit arrived sooner than I expected. It fired up on the second crank and ran smoothly for the break in period. I started it up two weeks later and it fired on the first pull. This will provide more than enough power to run the necessities in case of power outage.

I just received it and it seems high quality and reliable. The user manual is excellent and walks you through the unpacking, assembly, set up, and engine break in. I now feel ready for the next winter storm.

Looks like a great generator

I've never owned a generator before and this one looks very solid and put together well. It inspires a lot of confidence in the event we loose power to our home and have to rely on it for a short period of time.
