ready to use in three steps

Bought for power outage use in case it happens near Buffalo NY. The oil is included in the box, plus a long screw- in funnel! Nice! Unboxed, Put oil in, little gas, hooked up battery plug, made sure switches set correct. Pushed start button - Its operational!..Not too loud for outdoor. Not putting wheels on it in winter, Just a little heavy for one 69 year old man to lift and move, but if snow, the frame will slide to where i want it. Ive only run it for 30 minutes so far, and its all good. The instrution manual could take a little extra work though to explain the plugs more. Note: The Battery is lithium ion. So you cannot use a lead core battery charger on it! I bought special charger becuase of the 2 prong plug configuration in case I want to trickle charge it. However, manual says the battery automatically charges when the unit is running!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easier when the power goes out

We just purchased this generator mainly because it is a little larger than the one we have now and it is electric start. On a cold night with no power - electric start will be much better than the pull start.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just received this generator and well built. Easy to assemble and appreciate that the wheel kit comes with it and that it has both electric start and backup recoil start. Hope to get many years of use. Good price also.

Awesome Generator

I bought this recently and I like it way better than my Generac 5500. It uses 40% less gas and is smaller, easier to store and cost 35% less to purchase. Plus it is electric start which at 72 years old is a very good thing. The old generator cranks over pretty slow in our cold Maine winters, so it'll be awesome to just hit the start button with this Westinghouse and flip 2 switches to put it on line with the house. It'll make switching to emergency power a lot easier and a lot cheaper. We've lost the power 3 times this summer and twice this December and the winter is just getting started. It'll pay for itself in just a few years just from the savings in gas!

I love the ease of assembly the generator and how it smoothly starts upper. the plus is that my wife can move it around with ease compared to our old Generac generator.
