Within a week I was having trouble getting it started, initially thought it was a carburetor issue but turned out to be a stuck intake valve. It was a long process but Westinghouse replaced the unit and refunded the shop diagnosis charge. I would buy the store warranty if I was going to do it again just because of the length of time it took to get the generator repaired. As performance goes, I use it to run a Lincoln 140 wire feed and it does that quite well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi,
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the starting issue you experienced early on and understand how frustrating a longer repair process can be. We’re glad we were able to replace the unit, and it’s great to hear that the generator is now performing well and meeting your power needs. We appreciate your patience throughout the process and your honest insight, which helps us continue improving both our products and service experience.
I bought this becuase I am disabled and this Westringhouse 5300 W has an electric starter My electricirty is turned off quite often in California and I needed something to keep the house going. Most outages begin later in the evening and this Westinghouse will start right up.. Real super easy to set up and operate.
This generator was extremely easy to get running. Little to no effort involved aside from the wheels. Electric start worked the first time. Happy with my backup protection.
