Finding that "just right" generator for your needs is a tricky business. I needed 220v, with a 30A output, and had to have a L14-30R outlet. So it had to be fairly beefy but not so heavy that I couldn't life it myself. There just aren't that many options in this class/price range that still fits those requirements, so I was very happy to find one with the dependability of a Westinghouse. It fired right up on first attempt (battery start is a godsend for those of us with bad shoulders) and ran without a hiccup. I used the provided oil for that first break in (don't run more than 50% capacity) and then immediately replaced it in case of metal shavings from the factory but I couldn't find any in the discard. I do wish they placed the drainplugs in places that were easier to catch, but so be it. It is easy to move with the provided wheels and handle and the controls are intuitive and simple. Thumbs up!
This generator was a surprise birthday present from my girlfriend...and I love it! A good friend has one that is awesome. Also I drive by a former Westinghouse facility every day, so I've wanted one for years! Did I mention...I love it! :)
I bought this a few months ago. I would definitely have gone with a higher wattage model. It has worked well, except for the last time I used it. It had a hard time turning on. I think its the spark plug, but mine didn't come with a spark plug socket so I'm contacting customer care to hopefully ship me one. If that fixes the issue, then I would recommend the product.
