I live in Florida and purchased this item in anticipation of potential hurricanes. Well, about 2 weeks after receiving the WGEN7500, IRMA hit. I hooked it up to a Reliance Controls 30 Amp 250-Volt 7500-Watt Non-Fuse 6-Circuit Transfer Switch Kit which I had installed the week before taking delivery of the 7500. The product ran for 3 days straight giving power to my: Well, refrigerator, office, kitchen and family room. It was flawless. Thank you WESTINGHOUSE for conceiving and designing such a wonderful generator. I was very lucky in my anticipation of the need for a generator. I wish I was as lucky playing the lottery!
attached the wheels, connected the battery, added oil/gas and had it running in less than half hour. Purchased Reliance 10 circuit transfer switch...bring on the ice storms!
Have not had a lot of time to use generator but friends who helped set up each have a like model. They are very satisfied with their products recommended this generator and loved the improvements. I.e. Movement of the handle, remote starter, etc
Electric start works great. But, pull start tough to do

It was somewhat time consuming and difficult to maneuver to put everything together. However, it's a 7500 watt generator. So, weight should be expected. Just do not expect that you can just flip it around to get the wheels on or to other areas to set up. The electric start has been great. I bought this early June 2017. I tried it out a few weeks after it was delivered, June 7. I put about a 1/2 gal gas in it, and let it run with the refrigerator plugged in until the gas ran out. Maybe, 90 min to 2 hours? After Irma came through, it started up, again, with little effort. However, to use the manual pull cord, it's not so easy. The front panel appears to block access for the cord. To pull outward at the end where the handle is located is somewhat awkward. The only problem we ran into, is that after running this for about 20 minutes (for use after Irma), power output stopped. The generator motor kept running. But, no electrical power. The data center panel went out at the same time. I disconnected the battery and let it sit over night. The next morning, it worked, again. After about 20 minutes, the electric output stopped, again. At the same time the panel display went out, as well. I called support. Tech said it sounded like the AVR is bad. I have not registered this yet. So, once I register the generator, I can submit a claim, just explaining the same issues I told him. He said a tech will be calling. I should have the option of having a tech replace it (i assume I would have to take it in), or I can have it shipped to me to install. He explained where it goes and the general steps to replace the part. It will probably be quicker to do it myself. Right now, time is important. So, the stars I knocked off are because, of the output failing when I need it. But, if I am able to give it back a star after the part arrives with little delay, I will do that.
Bought online from local home improvement store. Easy to assemble. Not nearly as noisy as the neighbors. Love that everything was in the box (oil, funnel, wheels, etc.) Instructions easy to follow. Have not had to use it but will fire it up every couple months till I do need it. Love electric start for us gals who cannot pull start things.
Well built, easy to assemble, great features and ready to use in less than 30 minutes of opening the box! Can wait to use for the first time on a real needed situation. I rest comfortably knowing I have this when its needed!
