I plan to use this generator as a backup for my home in the event of a power outage but my #1 reason is for my pool system in the event the power goes out while the temp is below freezing. This is the newer dual fuel model and compared to last years model that ranked on the top of the consumers best generator list it has the ability to run off a propane tank - also last years model's biggest complaint is there was no way to drain the fuel. I noticed this model does have a fuel drain on carb bowl.
Took delivery on a Friday, lost power Sunday at 1am for 2 days. The generator worked perfectly and powered the essential circuits in my house without a problem. Could not be more pleased.
Very easy starting. Lots of power and has a large capacity gas tank so no need for frequent refills. Only drawback is there is not an easy way to hook to home electric panel. Also remote start unnecessary since you have to go to generator to turn on gas valve anyway.
Very little assembly required just pop the wheels and legs on, add oil and gas, connect battery and that's it. The people who complain about the weight are morons its not a pillow.
From the time I opened the box until the first time I started it, it took 10 minutes! Generator is powerful yet when I was only about 25 ft away it wasn't even as loud as my lawnmower! Hope we never lose power but glad we have this!
After researching online I went for the wGen7500!! I was thrilled with the machine when it arrived, this thing is solidly built!! Unpacked it for it assembled, added the oil and gas, it fired right up on the first push!!
