Full disclosure, this review is incentivized when registering the product. I wondered why there are so many more + reviews for Westinghouse generators..and that must be the reason. We have yet to use this generator in a power outage, but it did start easily right out of the box using the electric start and we had no problem powering up various saws and compressors simultaneously. The padded fold-away handle makes it very easy to move the generator around. Time will tell more about the power quality and durability of the generator, but for now we are happy with our purchase and the 3-year warranty that comes with it.
We just lost power for the first time and this runs everything in our house. With animals on the property and needing to get water to them this comes in handy. I also work from home and with this I no longer need to pack up my things and work from Dunkin' any more.
The set up was easy. The real reason i like this item is the remote start. if needed in the middle of night i can start from on my porch. easy for wife to start if i am not home is an added bonus. meets my needs in event of power outage. JEY
Excellent ! set up was clearly explained in manual and was a breeze to assemble wheel kit , add oil ,connect battery, add gas and push start . I am impressed that everything came with this generator especially the battery charger which is so convenient to use . The test went flawlessly ! Now I have peace of mind for the next Hurricane that hits Florida.
I live in the Northeast and lose power 3-5 times per year. This generator handles my furnace/ refrigerator/sump pump etc. easily. it is very well made and extremely user friendly.
So far so good. It was in good condition coming out of the package. Directions for installing wheels and legs was thorough and easy. Directions for adding oil, and fuel also easy. Took about 10 minutes to set up and fired first start if the electric starter. Push button start is so convenient with the built-in battery. Have not needed to use it for my house items yet, but feel good knowing we have the security of a generator should we lose power.
Only have to install the wheels, connect the battery, add the oil/gas and start right up. Start to finish this process took less than 10 minutes to complete. Started on the first try. Purchased primarily as a backup for power outages. Has all the power I will need and it's relatively quiet compared to similar units I have used.
