The jury is still out

Bought the Westinghouse on a recommendation from a neighbor who has been pleased with his unit. At the moment, the unit does not seem to start without several attempts to cycle thought the electric start process. Once it starts, it is fine. I have a call into warranty to have it looked at. I was told I had to register my unit before they discuss having someone look at it. I believe it will be a reliable generator once there is a basic adjustment. We shall see.

Easy setup, easy to use even for a neophyte

I am not mechanically inclined, but am electronically enough so to be tired of not having power. I found this after research and reviews, and even my electrician has recommended it to his family and friends. As it turns out, this did way more of my Colonial-style house than I expected.

Picked it up on Monday afternoon. Tuesday morning our power went out. Put gasoline in the tank, pushed the start button, and ran the generator for almost 60 hours straight without a problem. Powered almost my whole house. Great!

WITH SOME SPECIAL CABLE, NOT INCLUDED. CAN BE AUTOMATIC START UP WHEN POWER FAILS, COM CAN START WITH A KEY FAB. PROBLEM; LITTLE RED CIRCLE IN FILL TUBE FELL APART, DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS EVEN FOR? INSTALL BATTERY BEFORE YOU INSTALL WHELL.

arrived damaged

The unit arrived with a broken electronic choke mechanism, I called and the girl ( Jen ) couldn't have been nicer or more caring, I filled out a damage report and took photos of the damage and they are sending me the new part, I got the damage report in my email BEFORE i even got off the phone with Jen. AWESOME customer service. And one the part arrives, the tech support will help with ANY questions i may have. "Stuff happens", but it;s GREAT to know, customer service has by back !!
