One of the most satisfying purchases of my life!

This generator was a surprisingly satisfying purchase! The wheels and front legs were easy to attach to the frame. The front legs required a 10mm wrench to tighten the bolts and to my pleasant surprise, a 10mm wrench was included in the tool kit along with a spark plug wrench in a nice fabric pouch.
A quart of oil was provided along with a tailor-made funnel to put it into the engine!
I charged the battery overnight with the included battery charger.

After reading the manual, I turned on the "RUN" switch and pressed the button on the remote-start key fob and the engine purred to life! Completely effortless!
Kudos to Westinghouse for making a complete package that's easy to use and simple to operate!

Thus far solid, but with one issue...

I recently purchased this generator as an upgrade to my old generator. This 7500 is more powerful than my older generator, and when I plugged it into my home, it ran everything well with no lag. Great! I'm ready for the storms!
My only issue is that the instructions of the generator were lacking. When I placed the oil and the gas in the generator it wouldn't start. I checked and re-checked EVERYTHING and it wouldn't work, not even with the pull-start. I thought I got a lemon.
The issue was, was that the battery needed to charge so the electronic start would work. I didn't know this, since I assumed that the battery was charged up and ready to go. You have to wait, like, an hour or so for the battery to charge up. Once you see that little yellow battery light lit, you're ready to go. The instructions do not say this and while this may be obvious to someone more attuned to electronic-start generators, for a newbie like me, it was perplexing and frustrating.
Here's hoping that this generator lasts many years!

Easiest Assembly and Purrs like a Kitten!

We bought this about a month ago and we are sure happy with our purchase so far. It was the easiest assembly we ever bought! Started right up and purred like a kitten!

I bought this a few weeks ago before we lost power. Generator ran my whole house and never skipped a beat. Works awesome with great features!

Purchased and picked the new generator. First thing that impressed me was how well the generator was packaged, very well protected for shipping purposes. When I got the generator home and opened the box, the quality and care by Westinghouse was obvious. The materials enclosed were clear and easy to follow. The was minimal assembly required and very easy to complete. The wheels and front pads took about 5 minutes to complete. I added the engine oil, checked the oil level and attached the battery charger. The charger was one for approximately 5 minutes prior to the red indicator turning to blue. I wheeled the generator outside, added fresh fuel , chocked the engine, turn the fuel with on and pushed the start button. The generator cranked and started immediately. i let it run for about 5 minutes, attached the power chord and checked out the manual transfer switch i had just installed. All ready to go.
The protection cage is of superb quality, well designed as is the control panel. It is obvious that thought was put into producing this generator by people who actually use them. The WGen 7500 is a solid value for a home backup generator. Thank you Westinghouse.
