This is a nice mid-level generator that comes at a reasonable price. I bought this for hurricane season in NC. I was realistic in calculating the wattage I would need to endure a power outage (no AC, running genny around three to four hours a day to keep frig and freezer cold) and found this generator to be very highly rated and capable. I'll be installing a transfer switch to avoid using extension cords. Be aware this is not a whole house model. Recognize what you need and purchase accordingly.
Although I hadn't the need to use it yet, I loved the packaging and the instructions in setting it up is seamless. Can't wait to use the remote start feature. I feel good having a trusted generator product in my garage for any loss of power emergencies. Here in Central Florida we get lots of lightening storms as well as hurricanes.
Live in Pensacola and bought this generator to provide power after a storm, during long power outages. Installing the wheels and legs was easy, but you may need help laying it on the side as it weights over 200 pounds. No issues with hooking up the battery or filling oil. Tried the manual start first and it fired up on the first pull. Push button and remote start worked very well. Next step it to look into getting a transfer box installed so I can can eliminate the need for extension cords. Ran it for 45 minutes, connecting various things such as fans, shop vac, lights. an air compressor and a window AC unit.. Supported everything I hooked up. Hoping I never have a need to use it but expect it will be more than up to the task.
