My new WGEN7500 was delivered yesterday and spent some time this morning reviewing the features. Assembly of the wheels and feet was simple and straightforward. I connected the battery cables, added oil, non-ethanol gas and the generator started right up. My old generator did not have a battery, so the push button electric start on this one will make life much easier. The only "glitch" which caused me to pause for a moment was Figure 2 under the Electric Starting section of the "Quick Start Guide". It shows a drawing of the battery and cables which shows Positive (black) and Negative (red). I was certain that this information was incorrect, but I followed the black cable to the ground and the red cable to the solenoid just to be sure. This typo in the guide could create a problem for a novice. My transfer switch has a floating ground, so I had to move the alternator bonded jumper wire to the neutral ground. The instructions in the user manual for this procedure were excellent and I completed the task in less than 5 minutes. I am very impressed with my new generator and am looking forward to years excellent service.

Living in the northeast purchased this generator as a back-up for power outages which seem to happen every year. Chose this model based on recommendation from neighbor. Easy to set-up (minimal set-up required). Powered up the first time when I was testing it with a transfer switch I had installed in the house. Quiet. Can't wait for the first power outage to really test it out.

Assembly was very is. Started very easy. The romte is a great feature. We use this for our cabin in the Idaho Mountains. We can start and shut the generator off from inside our cabin. After 18 years of having to go out and start it with a pull rope everyone in our family is very happy now.

Disappointed bonus cover no longer available

Easy set-up. Have not had An opportunity to use it yet. Instructions directed the user to a website to register and receive a bonus item. Web site now states that the bonus cover for the generator is no longer available. They are still offering alternative of a power strip, but the cover was more useful to me. Disappointed with the registration experience as a result.

Gen7500 Easy start first time, works great

Pros: Easy to move around, starts up with a push button or cool autostart, works great and very powerful. Cons: A very minor cosmetic; putting in the oil is in a weird space next to the battery and it is a little crammed to get your hand in there.
