Has started every time. Haven't run under a heavy load as of yet, but have had no problems with light loads. Is not the quietest, but not the loudest either.
The generator easily started and with electric and remote start makes it even better. Easy to use and low fuel consumption. I used it during hurricane Florence and had more than enough power.
Smartly engineered, easy to operate and service. I especially like that it is transfer switch ready. Hit the remote start and started right up. Plugged in my transfer switch cable and i was good to go. Love this generator!!
I received my Westinghouse WGen7500 generator a couple days ago, so I haven't had the opportunity to fully utilize it and I can't speak to its durability. However, after unpacking the unit, it was extremely clear that it was built by a company that has remained in business for over a century. There's nothing about this generator that would indicate inferiority in quality. Like some of you, I chose this unit based on reviews, warranty and features. So far I have zero complaints and assembly was super easy. I followed the instructions for operation and connected the battery, filled up the gas and oil, and started the unit utilizing all 3 methods (push button, remote and manual-lawnmower style pull cord). The unit started up on the very first try with all 3 methods. I like that the unit comes with lifetime tech support and a 3 year warranty. They are standing behind their product and that's always important. I haven't had to utilize their customer service so I can't comment there, but they've been in business for over a century. The instructions are also on the unit, so it's very easy to operate. Reading through the maintenance program, it didn't seem to be overbearing providing you plan to use the unit for emergencies. Heavy usage may require more frequent maintenance. I like that the unit comes with a battery charger that charges as easily as your phone. I also like that I can connect the unit to a transfer switch. The trouble shooting section of the manual has clear instruction for any potential future issues, but the quality I saw suggest you won't need it much. You can unpack and have the unit running in about 20 minutes. Overall, I would recommend this product.
