Purchased 8/17/20 for home standby in case of power outage. Simple assembly of stands and wheels. Remote worked on first try startup. I like this feature very much. No more cord pulling. Battery was charged enough to start generator. Next is the installation of a transfer switch.
This is the perfect generator to power our home during hurricane season. It is a good size; not too big. The remote start is a great feature. The Westinghouse brand is well known and reputable and another reason for the selection of a generator.
I finally purchased a generator after recently losing power for 7 days due to a hurricane and many others over the years. Long term power outages are becoming more frequent and owning a generator has become a necessity. This model has the power I need to run the items I need. It has a push button electric start which is easy for any family member to turn on along with a recoil start. Another great feature is the remote start which can be used up to 260 feet away. So many wonderful features on this generator, a must buy. I did the research and Westingtonhouse came up a winner. I am so pleased and I highly recommend this generator.
Our previous generator started acting up about a year ago. We purchased it 7 years ago and we only hoped we could replace it with a new one that would perform as well. A little early to tell, but our first impression was outstanding. The WGen7500 is considerably quieter than our last generator. The features are outstanding. Push button and remote starts that delay power for 15 seconds before sending electricity to the panel. This should help prevent damage to sensitive electronics. Also, shut down stops the electric current immediately and after a few seconds the generator stops. Large gas tank (6 gallons) keeps refueling less often. This model is much more efficient than the previous one. 16 hours run time per tank compare to the last one which gave us about 8 hours on 5 gallons. Not sure why the generator makers can't get on board with a standard oil reservior - 1.1 L or 1.16 quarts. My sister ordered the same model for her cabin. Will be up in a few weeks to set her's up. I think she will be impressed also.
