I bought this a month ago to replace the generator I had. (Different brand) What a difference! Starts up every time, is fairly quiet, and the remote works great!

Purchased a WGen7500 generator for general purpose use. Shipped in a timely manner and was packaged well. Only reason for four star review is the bottom frame was found to be bent during initial packaging. Exterior of box was not damaged at all; whereby, the cause had to occur during packaging at distribution site.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the electric/remote start feature!

I live in a flood prone area and I purchased this unit for a backup for my sump pump.I have started it using electric start button and remote. Also tested the alternator using a table saw and am very pleased. I plan to install a transfer kit to power entire house and am very confident in the performance of this unit.

This generator is a beast!it's great looking on the outside-the black and blue finish is very pretty and at night with the different lights lit it's a winner-very easy to assemble wheelkit and it was great to actually get an oil funnel,oil,and various tools as well as a battery charger and user manual push button start works great and the remote key fob is a cool bonus this unit is quieter than my old generator which was half the power so far good gas mileage manual informative and easy to understand altogether a 5 star item!I love it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Only missing one key feature

Seems all the 5-10KW gas generators for the past decade plus come out of the same place in that they are have the same guts though engine and generator sizes change; only the name plate and front panels seem to vary. My decade old 6500W Champion guts are practically the same as this Westinghouse 7500W. This is a reasonably decent unit and I especially like while in my bed to stop at night and battery start the generator the next morning using with the remote FOB.
The display provides voltage, hertz, total run time, and run time since last started. BUT, it lacks the CRITICAL display of WATTS being drawn. I never know when I am getting close to overloading the generator and end up having my home drop off line throughout the day. Really guys, it NEEDS a watt meter....
My second grip are the two dual 120V GFI outlets. I will likely have to replace them. Using extension cords resulted in the GFIs popping ALL THROUGH the day; even when the load was only a few amps (<1K W)! They are ridiculously sensitive. I was borrowing a 3500W 120V gas generator experiencing NONE of these problems. I got past them by wiring the 240V into my home. My service was cut while doing an electrical expansion in my home. We have been waiting for the electrical inspector now for two weeks! Oregon is trying to be a smaller version of failed California.
