Prepared for the storms!

I live in the Sierras, about an hour north of Lake Tahoe, and have been considering buying a generator for winter storm power outages for years. After the recent wildfire power outages I decided it was time to buy a quality reliable generator for both winter snow storms and summer fire storms. So after the usual deep online research I chose the Westinghouse WGen7500. Although I look forward to using my new equipment, thankfully there have been no power outages since I purchased the generator so I cannot attest to it's performance.

My WGen3600's big brother!

After spending almost a week without power after a huge snowstorm, I decided it was time to buy a generator. After much reseach, I decided to go with Westinghouse - and I'm glad I did. This is a well-engineered, solidly built, quiet and dependable generator, worthy of the Westinghouse name. In fact, I bought two - a WGen3600 and a WGen 7500. I feel ready now for whatever winter brings next!

I bought this for 2 main reasons. One was to run a 240v space heater in a shop in the winter and the second was to run a 240v MIG welder. This generator seem to run both items (not simultaneously) without a problem at all. I love the remote feature as I can shut the generator off from within my shop, not having to go out in the 30 degree weather to do so. Very pleased with my purchase.
