It seems relatively quiet running compared to other portables I've been around and very quick to start. I plan to use it as a residential back-up in the event of a weather or attack outage, or to do odd jobs where power isn't available.

Just what I wanted and expected from reviews I read. I had looked at many self starting portable generators, but none matched the features and number of high ranked reviews the Westinghouse had. The fact the unit will automatically try to crank 3 times was added bonus I did not know about. ( have not had this occur yet because it has cranked on the first try every time.)

I have not purchased a portable generator in 14 years. I have been pleasently surprised by the quality and workmanship apparent in the 7500. Assembly was simple and the unit started on first try. L14-30 outlet and GFCI worked correctly. I will need to use it some before I can judge long term operation.
