I was going to go with a large propane generator and transfer switch. Instead I picked this WGen7500. It was simple and I love the remote start. It runs my whole house. I put up a small 2 watt solar panel to keep the battery charged and it's been very reliable

Very impressed with fit, finish, and features. Bought a slightly smaller troy-bilt for another use, and this seems far and away superior. Remote start works great. Not as loud as my other machine.

will be used to power lights and even air compressor for barn/shop. and emergency power when we lose power. having the remote start ability is a very nice feature. and the ability to pull start manually if need be. the plug in battery charger is nice add on.

Will be used mostly for storms and power outages, plus it can be moved to where there is no power. Mainly, I've had heart surgery and I can longer pull the hand start models. A big plus.

ELECTRIAN JUST LEFT HOOKED UP TRANSFER SWITCH. WESTINGHOUSE 7500 WORKED LIKE A CHARM. WE WENT THROUGH AND LABELED ALL POWER CONNECTIONS. GENERATOR WAS NOT EVEN STRESSED WITH ALL POWER ON. NOW NO AC OR WATER HEATER BUT ALL LIGHTS OUTLETS AND FANS WERE POWERED. USE A TRANSFER SWITCH AND DO IT RIGHT, SURE MAKES LIFE EASIER.

I live in Florida and thunderstorm power outages are common from April - November, end of hurricane season. This generator is well built and has plenty of power to keep needed items running during periods of no power from the electric company. Overall good product and I would recommend it to anyone a portable power need.
