Really pleased with the ease of assembly and extremely happy to have the electric start versus my old recoil only starting feature.

Compact, not too noisy, lots of useful features

Received this today. Not a scratch on the box. Very little 'assembly' required. Filled with oil, plugged in the battery, and the motor fired up instantly. The choke lever is a little hard to get fingers on. Battery had plenty of 'factory' charge to start easily. Engine ran great. I powered an air compressor as a test and the engine sound hardly changed. Gauge to see Volts, Frequency, and Hours is wonderful. This model looks like a real winner!

Nice Westinghouse Generator

Just purchased the Westinghouse WGen5300sc generator for backup power for some vital circuits (heat, water etc) for the house. Assembly was super easy: just add mounting feet, wheels, hook up battery, oil and gas. Started right up and ran fine. Plugged it into my transfer switch and all worked like it should. Super happy so far!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had a bad experience

I bought this unit and have never used it and when my power went out few days ago I tried to use it and surging really bad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This generator has all the features that I need during a power outage. Enough power to power my fridge and small appliances. Everything is conveniently located and easy to access.

Loving my new Westinghouse Generator

I purchased this item due to the many storms in my area that causes power outages. As I am elderly and live alone, this item seemed ideal due to the size and the apparent ease in getting it started with the push of a button. I love the features on it also.
